1.  How fresh are the milled products, such as flour?

Demeter Farm 'mill' to order, they do not run bulk milling and then store it to sell, they receive the orders, mill, pack & ship.  

2.  Where do they source their grains?

90% of their grains are sourced within a 1000km radius from the mill.

3.  What is best way to store their products?

Either in the freezer, fridge or air tight container

4.  The minimum order is quite large?

Yes, their products are very heavy, therefore to ensure freight is optimised their has to be a minimum order.  We recommend ordering with a friend if you can, why not start a co-op, the more you order the cheaper it gets!

5.   Do they mill non-organic produce?

No, they are the only mill in Australia that is 100% organic.

We are currently on the road heading to Orange for Food & Wine week, one of our stop overs was at Demeter Farm Mill.  What an amazing family business they have, I was blown away with the warm welcome and professional setup.  Interestingly enough I learnt a very important factor of their business, they are the only mill in Australia that is 100% Organic, this means they don't mill any non-organic products which can potentially produce cross milling of grains.  If you haven't already had a look, go on-line they have an enourmous range of products, most grains are sourced within a 1000km radius of the mill.
